Each Maison Tomé Volume is crafted from premium American Hardwood. As a natural, living material, your piece may breathe and shift slightly with changes in temperature and humidity. This is the mark of authentic timber and the soul of the work.
Every Volume in our collection is inspected for structural integrity and aesthetic excellence before leaving our archive. We stand behind the craftsmanship of our North American hardwoods and aim for your complete satisfaction.
To ensure your Volume lasts for generations, please adhere to the following stewardship guidelines:
Hand Wash Only: Never submerge your boards in water or place them in a dishwasher. Clean with mild soap, warm water, and a soft cloth.
Immediate Drying: Dry your boards vertically in the Library Stand immediately after washing to ensure even airflow and prevent warping.
Regular Seasoning: Apply Maison Tomé Founder’s Wax or a food-grade mineral oil once a month, or whenever the wood appears dull. This preserves the luster and creates a protective barrier against moisture.
Avoid High Heat: Keep your collection away from direct sunlight, stovetops, or high-heat environments which can cause the wood to crack.
—
30-Day Return Window: We accept returns of unused items in their original "Founder’s Edition" packaging within 30 days of delivery.
Condition for Return: To be eligible for a refund, the boards must be in new, unassembled, and unused condition. Because these are culinary tools, we cannot accept returns on boards that have been seasoned, oiled, or used for food preparation due to hygiene standards.
Natural Variations: Please note that Black Walnut, American Cherry, and Hard Maple are living materials. Variations in grain pattern, knots, and natural color shifts are not considered defects but are the unique "fingerprints" of the wood.
